With the mass-production of clothing and the fluctuations of trends, there can come a point where it seems like everyone is dressing out of the same closet. The Deblog at Debutante Clothing implies that dressing old will always be new. Sandra Mendoza supplements her excellent vintage clothing shop with posts that feature, but aren’t exclusive to, a vintage style.
Along with posting notices of sales at other sites and selecting products to feature, Ms. Mendoza interviews the creators of the products and lines that she loves. Through a Q & A session, she explores what the inspirations for the products are, information you normally won’t find when you merely purchase a product.
The new feature “Crap & Couture” aims to show women “how to mix low end and high end fashion successfully without looking like a bag lady or a knock off artist.” Not even Carrie Bradshaw pulled that off all of the time, but Ms. Mendoza’s advice will steer you in the right, stylish, direction.
