The Web today has paramount importance in the century that we live. The Television, Radio, Internet, seems to merge in seamlessly. Randa Clay a web sage is a sassy woman who has turned quite a few heads in the techno business. She also apparently has a whole lot of eggs in one basket. She specializes in custom logo design, print design and production, custom web site design and of course the latest- blog design and customization. This lady has oodles of creativity which reflects clearly from the work that she pursues.
Randa Clay has also set high standards in the branding industry and will continue to strive in raising the bar even higher. Her pot of creativity can be evinced from several Word press themes that she has done. Randa also rates very highly on the popularity charts for the blue bird theme. Victoria’s secrets, Goody’s are also some of the premier brands where she spent solid time analyzing market trends and initiatives.
She also happens to be the guest author of wisdump, and she doing one helluva of a job there as well. We feel that Randa tends to focus more on the end user its no wonder as to why the rest easily falls in place for her. Be sure to check out her portfolio and you will be convinced as to the tech ace she actually is. Plus she also knows how to fine tune her shutterbug and can also click an awesome picture or two.

Q. Most people tend to blog so that people tend to get a kick out of their thoughts. Is it the same for you or has it changed from its inception?
A. Blogging has changed for me since the beginning of this blog, but it was never about people getting a kick out of my thoughts. In the beginning, I just wanted to have a more frequently updated site, and I then I realized it was a great place to just share what I was learning. I read somewhere that there are always people just behind you on the learning curve, looking to figure out what you just learned, and it’s so true. I am constantly learning from others and I hope I can be helpful to those who frequent my site. The nice thing is that I get to learn from my readers as well. I’m amazed and grateful that there are so many people who would take the time to visit me regularly.
Q. Blogging tends to open a whole world of different opportunities. Do you agree?
A. I completely agree. I had no idea how many opportunities would come my way as my site has grown. It has opened up a whole network of people for me, and design opportunities I never would have had if it not been for the blog.
Q. You seem to do a whole lot of stuff at the same time, web designing, and marketing. Do you prioritize?
A. I am definitely a multi-tasker, with a zillion different things going on at any given time. It’s too much really, but there are just so many things I want to do- I hate to miss any opportunity. I try to prioritize based on what something going to bring to my bottom line and how much I’m going to be able to help someone else out. There are things that might not hit my bottom line income directly, but are part of building my overall reputation and credibility. These days I am really into designing themes for WordPress, so that’s high on my list as well.
Q. Where do you think web designing is going to be 10 years down the lane?
A. Web design will always be about how to effectively communicate information and enhance the user experience. Hopefully there will be more standardization, so that designers are not constantly having to compensate for browsers that have different ways of displaying things. I imagine that it will be somewhat simpler for the average designer- less hard coding.
Q. Which would you chose as your favorite tool when it comes to designing and why?
A. I guess it would have to be Adobe Photoshop for it’s depth of capability and layered image functionality. Adobe Illustrator is very important as well for creation of infinitely scalable vector graphics.
Q. You appear to have a logo fetish or is it just our assumption? The web industry changes almost by the second. How do you keep yourself updated?
A. I love logos, you’re right. I am really into the way companies and people visually represent themselves. I think every business needs a great logo and I even like the idea of a monogram as a personal logo. Though I believe that good logo design transcends trends, I am a frequent reader of blogs focused on critiquing logos and a enjoy visiting logo design galleries to see the latest and greatest designs.
Q. Last but not the least where does photography figure in your interest list?
A. Photography is one of those things I wish I had more time and money for. I have a point and shoot camera that is great, but I would really like to have a digital SLR camera. My dream is that one of these days, one of those opportunities that will come from blogging is that a camera company will offer to give me a DSLR in return for a review on my site. Any takers?? Anyone…? :)

What a pleasant surprise to see Randa here.
I’m pleased I’m not the only one to have noticed her apparent “logo fetish”. But she is rather good at them. She somehow manages to capture the essence of the brand/company without any of the hackneyed tricks. She is a logo queen.
She’s also a great inspiration, not only through her own blog, but through her erudite and incisive comments on numerous other blogs. I guess that makes her a blog queen too :) Three–make that four–cheers for Randa Clay.
