“Everybody” Loves Keith Urban Give Away

Keith was first introduced in the US music industry back in 1997, as one of the members of The Ranch. In 1999, he released his first self-titled solo album which has since gone platinum selling more than 1 million copies. The CD produced his first No.1, an endearing ballad “But for the Grace of God” and showed Urban’s unmatched prowess as an adroit guitarist as heard of in “Rollercoaster”.

In 2002, Urban released his sophomore album “Golden Road” which sealed his name in the Billboard Charts with songs “Somebody Like You” and “Who Wouldn’t Want to Be Me”. This earned him a Billboard’s No.1 Country Singles and Tracks Artist of the Year in 2003. In 2004, Urban was already a superstar, with the release of “Be Here”, an album with a distinct storytelling twist of Urban’s romantic upheaval, and his battle with alcoholism. The album also showed for the first time a different side of Urban, that of a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. In 2006, “Love, Pain and the Whole Crazy Thing” was released and this paved the way to Urban’s stellar success, described as musically inventive, never being a slave to the country genre.

This year is another milestone with “Keith Urban Greatest Hits: 18 Kids”, released on November 20, it includes seven of his No. 1 hits including “Everybody” and his rendition of Steve Forbert’s “Romeo’s Tune”. Urban has another winner on his talented hands in this one. Keith Urban is truly one passionate singer, songwriter and instrumentalist. His voice which always seem haunted and mysterious move the listener as no other artist can, because his music is constantly intimate and Keith is one artist who is not afraid of following his heart, even if this steers him away a little from the centre of country music.
