Critters Find a Crafty Way to Your Heart

We’ve all experienced taking care of a pet at one point in our lives. Taking care of pets gives us a sense of responsibility and accomplishment no other task can give. Unfortunately, in this cruel world, not all animals are protected. That is why Melissa Dettloff, together with her mother and brother founded the Craftersforcritters. Craftersforcritters.com is an independent website that aims to bring together, independent crafters (designers, artists, businesses) and animal rescue organizations.

How, you ask? Craftersforcritters.com invites crafters of handmade/individually-created items to sell their products in the website (from accessories, clothing and pet stuff to chocolates and health and beauty products). Proceeds will be donated to animal rescue groups all over the United States. Crafters who donate their products to be sold on the website, benefit solely by being exposed to a large number of consumers who would want to buy more of their products independently. Not to mention the satisfaction they would feel just by making the world a bit better to live in.

Currently, Craftersforcritters.com is in its 9th round. A round is defined as a period of 6 months in a year where all sales proceeds will be given to three organizations. For this round, the beneficiaries are 2nd Chance at Life, Compassion Without Borders and Pregnant Mare Rescue.

All orders can be made through Craftersforcritters.com and payments are made through Paypal. Take note however, that they sell on a first-come, first-served basis. It’s not everyday you get to buy a funky shirt and be a hero at the same time.
